Piano Lessons in Brookline, Boston & Online
The Art of Listening
Teaching has always been at the heart of my life as a musician. In private piano lessons in Brookline and online, I love working closely with each student, helping them build a natural, personal relationship with the piano through listening, curiosity, technique, and a deeper understanding of the music itself.
Book a Trial LessonA Musical Journey Across Europe and America
My own path as a pianist has taken me through the United Kingdom, Spain, Belgium, Italy, and the United States. I have studied in several great European traditions, earned my Doctor of Musical Arts at Boston University, and performed on stages from Carnegie Hall to deSingel in Antwerp. Along the way I won first prizes at the Liège International Piano Competition, the Antonio Bertolini International Competition, and the EPTA Competition. Each of these environments shaped the way I hear, play, and teach. I bring that breadth into every lesson, while giving each student the space to discover their own musical voice.
Who I Teach
Young Pianists
A strong foundation in solid technique and musicality, with ABRSM, RCM, and grade performances to build each student’s musical journey.
Adult Students
Whether you are returning to the piano after many years or looking for a thoughtful, structured way to keep growing, lessons are shaped around your goals, your repertoire, and your life.
Advanced Students
Focused preparation for competitions, auditions, and further study, along with chamber music coaching for pianists ready to collaborate.
Study with Me
Private piano lessons take place at my studio in Brookline Village, just outside Boston, and online piano lessons are available for students studying from anywhere.
For new students, I recommend beginning with a 30-minute trial lesson. We will spend time together at the piano, talk about your musical background and goals, and begin to explore what we can create together.
From Studio to Stage
My performing life, as a soloist and as co-founder of Aroma Duo, remains closely tied to my teaching. The questions I live with as a performer come directly into the lesson: how we listen, shape a phrase, create a sound, read a score, collaborate, prepare for the stage, and connect with an audience. My goal is for every student to become an independent musician, one who knows what they want to say and has the means to say it.
Performance is part of that journey. Each year, students share their work in studio recitals, a warm and supportive setting to build confidence on stage and create lasting positive experiences in performance.
